Pasay, Makati Beach Resort / Hotels, Affordable Condo, Budget, Pool

yulieamana@gmail.com April 9, 2017

Hello.  Last year I spent a week in Manila while I was going through the K1 Visa process and wanted to explore the city but stay somewhere safe and relaxing.  Considering that I am on a budget, it wasn’t easy finding an affordable place to stay..

I researched all the cheapest beach front resorts, waterfront hotels and cheap condos in the areas surrounding the U.S. embassy.  I was familiar with Makati, but many of the resorts are too pricey for my budget.  However, if you search long enough you can find decent places to stay that are very affordable.  Pasay has beach resorts or affordable hotels with private pools that are a great alternative.

That’s me in the photo above, enjoying the ocean views in a beach front resort outside of Pasay 🙂 I love how you can be just about any of the metro manila cities (like Pasay, Makati, etc..) but are still very close to beaches. You can enjoy the city life, and then take a taxi, jeepney, or bus to a resort on the beach.

You can take a longer bus trip to a beautiful exotic beach like Palawan, or you can choose to stay somewhere close. While, the beaches can’t compare to what they are in Palawan (not may places in the world can), you can still find some nice places to stay that are very affordable.
