Today Dr. Oz did a segment about healthy kitchen gadgets that you may not have ever heard of. He invited “America’s Test Kitchen” excecutive editor Julia Collin Davison on to the show to share some of her favorite new kitchen gadges like the “no guilt” air fryer and cold brew coffee maker.
The “No Guilt” Air Fryer allows you to make a large batch of fries with just a fraction of the oil that a regular fry would take. In fact it only used one tablespoon that is diffused in high heat, whereas a deep fryer would require as much as 4 cups of oil. Healthy and delicious french fries, with a fraction of the added fat and calories.
The air fryer that they demonstrated on the show was the Philips Airfryer. It used rapid air technology that circulates hot air at up to 390 degreees. The french fries will be cooked evenly and quickly. The fries come out crispy on the outside and tender on inside.
Coffee Cold Brew System
The Coffee Cold Brew System is unique and unlike regular coffee brew systems because it relies on a longer brewing process that isn’t exposed to heat. The result is a higher quality coffee that has a smoother flavor and less acidic flavor. If you go out to buy more expensive, higher quality coffees each cup will cost you several dollars (or more). Now, using The Coffee Cold Brew System you can purchase one for less than $50. You will enjoy your coffee more and will save you a lot of money when you don’t have to rely on expensive specialty coffee shops.
Swing Away Jar Opener
I especially like this one. If you have a hard time opening jars, then the Swing-Away Jar Opener may be a dream come true. The Swing-Away Jar Opener has an easy to use adjustable clamp that allows you to open even the most stubborn of jars of all sizes. You can even use this jar opener on those huge pickle jars all the way down to the smallest of vanilla extract bottles.
