Dr. Oz 1 Week Flat Belly Plan should begin on a Monday. Have you ever tried to begin a diet on a weekend? It’s not easy! Dr. Oz invited Maya Feller (dietician / core expert) on to the show to discuss why beginning a diet on Monday is easier. She said that Monday Dieters have more success because psychologically they are starting fresh and they are able to leave the weekend’s “indiscretions” behind. Your starting anew and you have a more motivation (without the weekend temptations).
Dr Oz 1 Week Flat Belly Plan
Bloating is a dieter’s enemy.. Because even if you have lost fat, you may have become even more bloated and this can be very discouraging. When in all actuality you are making progress and getting skinnier, your pants may be getting tighter! It’s hard to have a flat belly when your constantly battling bloating problems. This may be because you are eating foods that cause your body to bloat. Today, Maya shared some foods (she used the acronym of FODMAPS) to eliminate while participating in the Dr. Oz 1 Week Flat Belly Diet. Visit: Dr Oz 1 Week Flat Belly No Bloat Plan, Monday Dieter, FODMAPS
What are FODMAP Foods?
- F – Fermentable
- O – Oligosaccharides
- D – Disaccharides
- M – Monosaccharides
- A – And
- P – Polyols
Ok, those are the scientific words. You don’t have to remember those to reduce your bloating on this diet. You simply have to eliminate the following foods from your diet for 1 week.
High Fructose Corn Syrup – Of course you should eliminate processed foods that contain high fructose corn syrup. You should eliminate those foods permanently. However, there are also some healthy foods like honey and dark chocolate you should eliminate while on the 1 Week Flat Belly Diet. Remember, the goal here is to eliminate the belly bloat. You can add some of these healthy foods back into your diet later.
Dairy – Eliminate milk, soft cheeses, coconut milk, ice cream and yogurt.
Veggies that cause belly bloat – Some of these were surprising to me, but they mentioned garlic, asparagus, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower and mushrooms. I’m glad that this is just a 1 week diet plan!
Bread – Eliminate wheat, rye bread. Also foods like pasta and rice.
Eliminate high sugar fruits – like apples, mangos, pears and watermelon.
I will give this a try and see how this 1 week diet works for me. I love many of the veggies that Maya Feller said causes stomach bloating, but for one week it seems doable to me. I didn’t see spinach on the list, so I guess there are still healthy vegetables that I can eat.
